#8 · LightThe Legion runs by fixed on-chain rules. The sections below explain the game in its own vocabulary.
The words on the dashboard are the words in the bytecode. Nothing is hidden behind euphemism — the rename is the honesty:
ENLIST — to mint. You do not buy a warrior; you prove work and he enlists under your banner, at the price of the current Epoch.
THE SOLDE — warriors earn from mints in later epochs only. Each living eligible warrior receives its base rent step; a fallen warrior’s future step is split 70% among eligible survivors and 30% to the hook.
FALL IN BATTLE — to burn. The warrior dies on-chain; the $LOOT he carried is yours. The Legion does not pretend soldiers are immortal.
EPOCH — a supply-defined tranche, never a day. Epochs grow 8, 16, 32… without a hard cap. After warrior 16,376, a quadratic work wall makes each later enlist progressively harder.
HOLD THE LINE — the only strategy the flows reward. Fall in the same Epoch for a thousand, or hold as the Epochs turn and the solde accrues. The line pays. That is not a slogan — it is arithmetic.
The moon is drawn by the contract — outline, shadow, seven craters — the same grid for every warrior, one night in a hundred remapped to crimson. The 1% that needs no explanation. You will know it when you mine it.
Fallen warriors do not return. The burn is real — ownerOf goes to zero, the token is gone, and the supply of the fallen grows only downward. A collection that can shrink is a collection that respects itself. The Legion's honor roll is the transaction log: every death on-chain, every payout on-chain, no man erased.
